Day 1 - Welcome to Cochin

Our representative would be happy to receive you at Cochin International Airport and will brief you again on the tour. Please proceed to Olappamanna Mana (3.5 hours). The journey through the hinterlands of Kerala will amaze you. The long stretched paddy fields, coconut plantations etc. will be a visual treat for your eyes.

Your hosts are waiting for you and have lunch along with them. Relax for some time. By evening, the guest will take you through the large Mana and explain the richhistory of the ancestral home.You have unique opportunity to witness the ancient ritual “Kalamezhuthu Pattu”.

Stay overnight at the homestay

Day 2 - Village Visit

Have the breakfast and be ready for an exciting day at the village.

You will be taken to Mr. Ramanakutty's house where he makes the Kathakali Koppu (The ornaments and headgear used for Kathakali Performance).He and his family are in this art for many generations.He will show you how these ornaments and headgears are being built using the locally available materials.

Next destination is the weaver's village where you will meet the weavers who still use the handloom.They will explain you how Saris or Mundu are being made. You might encounter language barrier yet, the experience will worth a try. If interested, you can buy those locally made products and support the local economy. You can also visit the nearby mirror making center where they still practice the ancient way of making metal mirrors.

You may also visit some old yet graceful Hindu Temples. But, due care must be taken while inside the temple. You may also visit Kunthippuzha, the famous river that necklace the village. Do remember not to enter the river during monsoon season as the water level may rise without any warning.

Stay overnight at the homestay.

Day 3 - Cheruthuruthi

Have breakfast and check out by 7:30 am. Proceed to Cheruthuruthy to visit Kerala Kalamandalam, the premier institution which conducts training of classical art forms of India.Today you will see “Koothambalam”, art gallery, Museum etc. You will also have an opportunity to visit the Kalaris where they teach classical dance forms like Mohiniyattam etc.Mural paintings are yet another attraction of the tour.

Finish the tour and proceed to Cochin for departure. We will transfer you to Cochin International Airport for departure.
